Shikarpur protest march gains political support

Various political and religious parties have expressed their support to the ‘Labbaik Ya Hussain’ march staged by the Committee of Heirs of Shikarpur Martyrs.
The long march that began on Sunday afternoon from the Karbala Maula Imambargah in Lakhi Dar area of Shikarpur would conclude in Karachi where the protesters would stage a sit-in outside the Chief Minister’s House pressing the government to desist its policy of inaction and appeasement of the terrorists.
To formalise their support, leaders belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Sunni Ittehad Council, All Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and Pakistan Awami Tehreek addressed a joint press conference hosted by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen here on Sunday.
They said that Shia community was being targeted during their Friday prayers and mourning congregations but the government’s inaction continued emboldening the terrorists to continue attacks on innocent Pakistanis.
The leaders added that it was not acceptable to allow the government to work against the constitution and law. They said that rule of law could not be established without awarding capital punishment to the terrorists.
