Various trade union leaders have announced their full support to the Karachi Port Trust Employees Union in its struggle for restoration of son quota in the KPT.
Anti Nijkari Forum (ANF) President Raheel Iqbal, General Secretary People’s Workers Union Social Security (PWUSS) President Malik Naved, People’s Workers Union Government Press (PWUGP) President Asif Sheikh and Javed Jadoon made this resolve during their visit to the KPT’s union protest camp on Friday.
In a meeting with KPT Employees Union President Lala Nazeer Khan, the veteran leaders assured their fullest support to him.
The leaders said that the authorities concerned must fulfill a legal obligation by restoring the son quota in the KPT.
They said instead of addressing legal issues of the workers, the authorities concerned were ignoring them.
