The Shia Ulema Council (SUC) would take out a ‘Kafan Posh’ rally from Purani Numaish to the Chief Minister House against continued target killings in Karachi on January18.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday, SUC general secretary Allama Nasir Abbas Taqvi said the rallies will be taken out all over Sindh as the government has completely failed to curb terrorism in the province, including Karachi.
He warned that if the government tried to stop these rallies then next strategy would be of wheel jam strike.
Expressing his deep concern over the unabated target killings in Karachi, Allama Taqvi demanded immediate stoppage of sectarian killings and making public the names and association of all alleged terrorists arrested.
He insisted on the government to issue arms licenses and provide complete security to doctors and traders, saying “The government should ensure protection of life and property of the citizens.”
