Charges were framed against alleged Lyari gangsters Amin Buledi and Abdul Ghaffar in Anti-Terrorism Court-III on Tuesday for murdering five citizens in Kalakot in April 2012.

 

The two accused pleaded not guilty. Judge Saleem Raza Baloch fixed December 3 to hear prosecution witnesses.

 

The murder cases were registered at the Kalakot and Baghdadi police stations.

 

According to the amended charge sheet submitted to the court on Tuesday, five citizens lost their lives when Buledi and Ghaffar launched rocket attacks against law enforcers during an operation in Kalakot. All the victims, identified as Asif, Fida Hussain, Muhammad Shafi, Abdul Ghani and Ghulam Dastageer, were passers-by.

 

Baqar convoy attack case

 

The ATC issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of Attaullah alias Naim Bukhari alias Hilal, Qari Nadim, Rizwan alias Asif Chottu and Moosa facing charges of being involved in an attack on Justice Baqar Maqbool’s security envoy in June.

 

The court directed the investigation officer to arrest the suspects and submit the final charge sheet.

 

An interim charge sheet was presented at the previous hearing against two detained accused, Muhammad Moavia and Abu Bakar alias Masoom Billa.

 

The security convoy of Justice Maqbool Baqar, who is now the chief justice of the Sindh High Court, was hit by a powerful bomb blast on June 26.
