The University of Karachi (KU) has announced the result of LLB Final Year, Annual Examination 2010, on Monday. According to the controller of examination, KU, 570 candidates registered for the exams while 560 appeared.

 

Only six of them were declared pass in first division whereas 171 students cleared the exams with second division and 383 failed. The pass percentage was 31.61.

 

One result was withheld for want of fine and two candidates were asked to submit their particulars to receive the result, he said.

 

Khadija Rehman, daughter of Habib ur Rehman, SM Government Law College, secured overall first position. Another student of SM Government Law College, Khalid Abbas Naz bagged second position and third position was also clinched by Razwan Akram student of same college, he added.

 

KU notice: Registrar, University of Karachi (KU), Professor Kaleem Raza Khan, on Monday said that a meeting of the principal of all affiliated degree colleges, except medical, law, education and home economics, will be held in the Arts Auditorium, KU on December 30 at 10:30am to consider the admission 2011 of degree classes (BA Pass, BSc Pass and BCom) in the affiliated degree colleges.

 

KU meeting: A meeting of the ‘high powered review committee’ was held in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, University of Karachi (KU) on Monday to discuss the semester examinations, security and the calendar of 2011, Registrar, KU, Professor Kaleem Raza Khan said.

 

Strict security for the teachers, staff and students will be maintained and in this regard the rangers have been directed to deal with security matters diligently. The semester examinations will resume on Tuesday (today) and will be held as per schedule. The postponed examinations will be completed by January 5, 2011, he said.

 

Meanwhile, the new academic session will commence on January 8, 2011 and orientation programmes will be organised in all the departments. The ‘semester examination cell’ has been directed to compile the results as soon as possible, he added.
