In connection with the Defence Day of Pakistan, a smartly turned out contingent of cadets from PAF Academy Risalpur took over the guard duties at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to commemorate his visit to the academy 66 years ago, said a PAF press release issued here on Thursday.

Air Vice Marshal Rashid Kamal, Air Officer Commanding PAF Academy Risalpur, inspected the guard of honour, laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha at the Mazar-e-Quaid.

The ceremony was keenly witnessed by the common people including a large number of students from various schools and colleges who had gathered at the Mazar.

The day started with special Dua and Quran Khawani for the martyrs.

The auspicious day was observed with a renewed pledge and determination to make the PAF even stronger and a potent force to face any challenge.
