AIOU upgrades educational facilities for overseas Pakistanis
Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University has introduced some academic programs for overseas Pakistanis, including those living in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and USA.
The programmes include Allisan-ul-Arabi (Basic Arabic Course), Arabic ‘Bol Chall’, Secondary School Certificate (Matric), Higher Secondary School Certificate( FA, I.Com), Bachelor Programmes (BA General Group, BCom, BA Mass Communication and BA Library Science), B.Ed (1.5 years), MBA (Commonwealth of Learning), Dars-i-Nizami and Short Term Courses.
According to the Director Admissions, the educational facilities for the overseas Pakistanis were being increased as per the instructions of the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum.
They are being facilitated with the cooperation of Pakistani Missions abroad, with expanded educational facilities that enable them to carry on their future study, through distance and on-line learning system.
The interested overseas Pakistanis have been advised to apply for the admission in the programme of their choice before March 15. The admission forms and prospectus have been made available on the University’s official website (http://del.aiou.edu.pk).
