Collaboration struck for raising women’s employability
PESHAWAR: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Khawateen Rozgar Services and the City University of Science and Information Technology to enhance the women’s employability.
According to a press release, the City University is one of the top-ranked universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa whereas Khawateen Rozgar Services works to provide job opportunities to women and acts as a bridge between the organisations/companies and women.
The MoU signing event started with a brief introduction and importance of the collaboration between Khawateen Rozgar Services and the City University by Career Development Centre (CDC) Director Abdul Haq.
Abdul Haq discussed how important it was to collaborate with organizations to work for the welfare and prosperity of the women in our society.
Misbah Faiz, the founder of Khawateen Rozgar Services, emphasized on the empowerment of women. She hoped the collaboration between City University and her organization would be able to provide jobs to women, internship and volunteer opportunities, adding relevant trainings would be conducted to make the women ready for the job market. Misbah Faiz believed the partnership would help enhance the number of women in the workforce in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Khawateen Rozgar Services worked for providing job opportunities to the women and raising their potentials.
The speeches were followed by the MoU signing by CDC Director Abdul Haq and Khawateen Rozgar Services Chief Executive Misbah Faiz.
City University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Kashifur Rahman gave souvenirs to Khawateen Rozgar team members. Shields were awarded as well.
