One man was killed and another was injured in a targeted attack near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth police limits on Sunday.
Abdullah, 25, and Bakht Khan, 35, were outside their residence when they were fired at by unidentified people motorcyclists. The armed men fled from the scene after the incident.
On hearing the gunshots, people from the area rushed to the scene of the crime where they found Abdullah and Bakht lying badly injured. The injured were then taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) in critical condition, where Abdullah was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police found empty casings of a TT pistol from the scene of the crime which have been sent to the Sindh Police Laboratory for forensic tests. Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) East Javed Ali Mahar told The News that Abdullah’s murder was the result of a domestic dispute and that Bakht only happened to be present with Abdullah at the time.
