Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has strongly condemned the life attempt on Awami National Party’s provincial General Secretary Bashir Jan.

 

The chief minister has sought a report on the incident from the IG Police (Sindh) and the Additional IG Police (Karachi), said a handout issued here on Thursday.

 

He directed the police officials to ensure immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.

 

The ANP leader was unhurt and three people including a cop were injured in the bomb attacked in the Peerabad police limits on Thursday night.

 

Basheer Jan was going in his car, and when his vehicle reached Frontier Colony, two armed men riding a motorcycle threw a hand grenade and fled.

 

Though Basheer Jan was unhurt, his police guard and two of his supporters were injured.

 

The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment.

 

On August 9 two PPP activists, Salman Baloch and Rizwan Baloch, were injured when a bomb exploded in their vehicle near Rahimullah Hospital in the Gulberg police jurisdiction.
