Eminent social worker Maulana Abdus Sattar Edhi was admitted to the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), where Dr Bux Ali told The News on Monday that there was nothing to worry about.

“Maulana Edhi suffered from dehydration and will be discharged this evening or on Tuesday,” Dr Ali said.

Maulana Edhi has been serving humanity since long. He has established the world’s largest ambulance service in the private sector. He is also known across the world for his philanthropic work.

He has also established asylums for mentally challenged people, besides a morgue, and is loved by the common man and the elite alike.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has expressed concern over the illness of Abdul Sattar Edhi.

He prayed for his good health and speedy recovery. He said Pakistan was famous throughout the world due to the social and welfare works of Edhi. He said every effort should be made for the treatment of the social worker as he was an asset to the nation.
