The Judicial Magistrate (West) Ghulam Murtaza on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants against the leader of the banned People’s Aman Committee, Uzair Baloch, and five other suspected Lyari gangsters.

This was for the fifth time that the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Uzair Baloch, Rehmatullah and Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla. The three men were accused of being involved in the Lyari gang war and other criminal activity in the area.

The court ordered the investigation officer to leave no stone unturned and produce the three suspects by July 11, when the cases against them will be reheard.

Earlier, the investigation officer in the case said that the non-bailable arrest warrants could not be executed as the three accused were in hiding and the police were clueless about their whereabouts. However, efforts to locate the absconders were under way.

The wanted men allegedly maintained ties with the Baluchistan Liberation Army that provides them with illegal arms to fight the Lyari gang war and kill people.
