Memon Goth and Gadap City Police Stations have identified three persons who were gunned down in their respective jurisdictions last week.
The deceased belonged to banned religious outfits.
It may be noted here that on June 12, two people were gunned down in Memon Goth police remits.
The police after completing the formalities had shifted the bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) and later to the Edhi Mortuary in Sohrab Goth for identification. Memon Goth SHO Rao Mohammed Khalid said Ahmed Shah approached the police station on Tuesday morning and told the police that he was looking for his relatives who had been missing for the last 20 to 22 days.
The police took him to the Edhi Mortuary where Ahmed Shah identified the deceased Qari Noor Shah as his elder brother and the other deceased as Kakay Khan.
SHO Khalid said the police after recording the statement of Ahmed Shah handed over the bodies to him. He added that the deceased were members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
In the other case, three people had been gunned down in Gadap City area on June 16.
Two of the deceased had been identified earlier while the third remained unidentified until Tuesday when two persons, Nadir and Ahmed, visited the Gadap City Police Station and identified the deceased as Mehmood Memon.
The SHO of Gadap City Police Station, Raja Mohammed Aslam, said Ahmed in his statement to the police said that due to Mehmood’s wrong activities they had expelled him from their home three to four years ago and after that they knew nothing about him until they saw his picture in a newspaper.
The police after completing the legal formalities handed over the body to the heirs of the deceased. SHO Aslam said that the deceased belonged to a banned religious outfit and he had had a police record.
