The controller of examinations, University of Karachi, on Sunday announced the results of BCom Part-II (Regular) annual examination 2011.

 

Tahreem Altaf of the Shaheed-e-Millat Government Degree College for Women (Azizabad) clinched the overall first position, securing 848 marks out of a total of 1,100.

 

Sehar Muneer of DA (DHA, Phase-VIII) College for Women secured the second position (843 marks) while Munazzah Panawala of the same college got third position (841 marks), according to the gazette.

 

At least 24,010 candidates were registered, but 22,906 appeared in the exams, the controller said.

 

As per the gazette, 1,170 candidates secrured first division, 3,768 second division while just four candidates were declared successful with third division.

 

The overall pass percentage was 21.58 per cent, and 17,694 students failed to clear their exams, the controller of examinations, KU, further said.
