KARACHI: Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation along with Alumni Association of National Security Workshops (AAN) of National Defence University held a Fund Raiser Iftar event for the Internally Displaced People at a local club.

The initiative was led by Ali Raza Siddiqui, Director Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation (MJSF) and Major General Khokhar - DG ISSRA of National Defence University. At this occasion, MJSF announced a donation of Rs 10 Million for the IDPS’s and committed to continue its ongoing support for the cause. The Internally Displaced people from the Waziristan region need the support of all the citizens and organizations of Pakistan due to the ongoing operation “Zarb e Azb”.

Both AAN and Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation have always been at the forefront of seeking ways to help support the citizens of this country. This ongoing operation has come at a moment of national importance and both the organizations whole heartedly stand by the government to support the IDP’s in every way possible. IDP’s have been uprooted from their homes to ensure the future generations of this country are safe and our national pride restored. Over 80,000 families have lost their homes; 1 million individuals are on the roads and 400,000 children out of school.**
