KARACHI: The rupee remained firm against the dollar at the interbank market, said dealers said on Tuesday.

 

The rupee closed at 94.25 to a dollar, up by one paisa from Monday’s closing of 94.26 at the interbank market.

 

Market dealers said that the release of the coalition support fund (CSF) reimbursements by the United States put positive impact on the local currency, as it gained strength against the dollar and other major currencies.

 

The interbank forex market started the day in the range of 94.25 and 94.30. Most of the trades were seen at different levels with the dollar witnessed a high of 94.37 and a low of 94.19.
