Gas loadshedding irks locals

PAKPATTAN: The citizens suffered more than 10 hours unscheduled gas loadshedding in the city and its adjoining areas on Monday.
The locals urged the relevant authorities to look into the matter.
THREE FAKE CHEQUE CASES: Police booked three people in issuing fake cheques on Monday.
Shabbir Hussain Shah had gotten Rs 87,000 loan from Muhammad Ashraf of college road Pakpattan. When he was asked to return the amount, he issued a cheque that was bounced by bank.
Mushtaq Ahmad had taken Rs 290,000 loan from Muhammad Maqbool of Chak 90/D. When he was asked to return the amount he gave a cheque that was bounced by bank.
Muhammad Latif had gotten Rs 300,000 from Muhammad Riaz of Thana Bazaar, Arifwala. When he was urged to return the amount he issued a cheque that was also bounced by bank.
Police registered three separate cases.
DRUG PEDDLERS HELD: Police Monday detained drug peddlers and recovered wine from their possession.
Police arrested Akash Masih from Railway Gate Pakpattan and recovered 10 litres wine.
Police arrested Zafar Abbas of Chak 98/D and recovered a pistol, Ashraf of Baldia Chowk, Arifwala and recovered a pistol, Danish from Chak 63/EB and recovered a shotgun, and Mazhar Hussain of Ghazi Mardan locality and recovered a carbine.
CASH STOLEN FROM SHOP: Cash and other valuables were stolen from a shop on Monday.
Shopkeeper Muhammad Shafi of Ganj Shakar Colony, Pakpattan was at work when Bilal entered his shop and stole cash, a cellphone and other things worth Rs 9,350.
