Woman burnt alive by husband, in-laws dies in hospital

BUREWALA: A woman, who was burnt alive by her husband and in-laws about 25 days ago, died at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore on Friday. Naseem Bibi, sister of Muhammad Jehangir Bhatti of Chak 98/EB, had contracted marriage with Muhammad Ashfaq Bhatti of the same village about eight years ago.

BUREWALA: A woman, who was burnt alive by her husband and in-laws about 25 days ago, died at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore on Friday.
Naseem Bibi, sister of Muhammad Jehangir Bhatti of Chak 98/EB, had contracted marriage with Muhammad Ashfaq Bhatti of the same village about eight years ago. The couple had three children from the wedlock. Naseem Bibi and her in-laws developed differences and they used to quarrel with each other over domestic issues.
About 25 days ago, Naseem Bibi+IBk-s sisters-in-law Rashidan Bibi and Parveen Bibi allegedly caught her while her husband Muhammad Ashfaq sprinkled oil on her body and burnt her alive. As a result, she received serious burns. She was under treatment in the Mayo Hospital where she died.
Police have registered a murder case under Section 302 of the PPC and the Anti-Terrorism Act on the report of the deceased brother and started investigation. Meanwhile, DSP Zulfiqar Ali Sandrana visited the village and assured the victim family of providing justice to them.
