SUKKUR: The Sukkur NAB on Friday arrested four officials of a bank on charges of corruption.
Reports said the team of DG of NAB, Sukkur, arrested Syed Lal Shah, Bashir Ahmad, Kifayatullah Sheikh and Nusrat Husain Shah.
All the four accused had been posted to the Pano Aqil branch of the bank. They were arrested in an under-trial reference filed against Zubair Almani and others.
The accused have allegedly caused a loss to the national exchequer to the tune of Rs680 million.
The accused had earlier sought interim bail orders from the High Court of Sindh in Karachi but their bail petitions were dismissed on October 7, 2015. The accused, after their arrest by NAB, were produced before the accountability court in Sukkur on Friday which further remanded them in jail custody.
