BANNU: Students of the Government Postgraduate College in Bannu on Friday staged protest against the college’s closure and asked the administration to reopen it forthwith. Led by Waqar Ahmad and Qaiser Durrani, the protesting students carrying banners and placards urged the college administration to reopen the institution. They marched through various bazaars and gathered outside the Bannu Press Club where they blocked the road for traffic for some time. Speakers on the occasion said the teaching staff and the administration closed the college due to a petty dispute between a teacher and a student three days ago. “A closed-circuit television camera has captured the entire incident between the teacher and the student,” Qaiser Durrani said, adding that the guilty should be expelled from the college.
