LAHORE: A LHC division bench on Monday dismissed bail application of Tanzeelur Rehman, involved in Kasur scandal.
The bench comprising Justice Anwarul Haq and Justice Erum Sajad Gull heard the matter. Additional Prosecutor Abdul Samad pleaded the court to dismiss bail application of the accused. He submitted that nine cases were registered in connection with Kasur scandal. He said the police arrested the accused in a case registered under section 506 of CRPC and he was on remand till August 31. He mentioned that an anti-terrorism court dismissed bail application of the accused in an identical matter and remanded him to police custody till September 12. He submitted that the accused was found guilty during investigations and police required his custody to recover mobile and other evidence in the said cases. The bench after hearing arguments dismissed the bail application.
