Seven eatery owners held

PAKPATTAN: Seven eatery owners were arrested on Wednesday over poor hygiene.
The health department officers on a tip-off inspected the eateries and found unhygienic conditions in their premises and arrested Iftikkar Ahmad, Abdul Khaliq, Muhammad Akram, Ali Ghulam Fareed, Asim, Shabaz and Haji Zafarullah.
LOCALS ROBED OF VALUABLES: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables on Wednesday.
Muhammad Sajad of Chak 67/EB was heading to home from Arifwala city and when he reached near Chak 67/EB three robbers intercepted him and snatched cash and his cellphone.
Barish Ali of Zianagar and Muhammad Anwer were moving on a motorbike and when they reached near Chak 155/EB, five robbers intercepted them and snatched the motorbike, cash and a cellphone.
Four robbers snatched motorbike No BNK-4234 from Muhammad Aslam of Chak No 123/EB.
Thieves stole a laptop and a cellphone from the car of Muhammad Afzal.
Five thieves entered the house of Allah Ditta of Chak 27/KB and stole gold ornaments, cash, a cellphone.
Six rustlers took away five buffaloes from cattle farm of Abid Ali of Bodlla locality.
WATER THEFT CASES: On the report of SDO (Irrigation) the police registered water theft cases against 34 farmers.
MAN SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead over an old enmity on Wednesday.
Zafar Hussain Shah, of Shah Murad locality, his brother Mukhtiar Shah and others were present at their out-house, when four people came and started firing at them, leaving Zafar Hussain dead on the spot.
BOOKED FOR HARBOURING POS: Police Wednesday registered cases against the accused on the charges of harbouring proclaimed offenders (POs).
On a tip-off, the police raided Kalyana locality to arrest PO Javeed but he was alerted after getting help from Ashraf.
Police raided Chak 21/KB to arrest PO Imran but escaped with the connivance of Akaram.
WAPDA STRIKE: Wapda employees observed a complete strike against privatizations of Wapda.
The employees staged a protest in the lawn of Wapda Complex.
SPURIOUS JUICES: Police arrested a man for manufacturing spurious juicers.
On a tip-off, police raided Hussanpura locality and arrested Hussain and recovered spurious juices packets from him.
Police also arrested Muhammad Tafil and recovered fake cold drink bottles from him.
WOMAN KIDNAPPED: A woman was kidnapped.
Maqsood Ahmad and his accomplices kidnapped a woman in Dilara Dilawer locality.
SOUND SYSTEM CASES: Police registered cases under the Sound System Act against Usman of Saddu Piplli locality. Police arrested Muhammad Yar and recovered sound system equipment from him.
