GUJRANWALA: Four members of a family and a railway employee were killed when a train engine hit them at a level crossing on Dewan Road in Kamoke police limits on Monday.
Four relatives Ghulam Dastgir, Arslan, Imran and Amir, residents of Sialkot, were going to the Lahore Airport by a car when they tried to cross the level crossing despite a red signal. A railway employee, Nawaz, was also standing with a signal flag in his hand. The moment car reached the level crossing, the train engine hit it. As a result, the four car riders were killed on the spot. The train engine also hit the railway employee, killing him on the spot too. The bodies have been handed over to their families after completing legal formalities. Meanwhile, railway officials have started an inquiry.
