BISHAM: Residents on Saturday deplored the unannounced and excessive power outages and asked the government to reduce the duration of hours-long blackouts in Ramazan. Talking to The News, Muhabat Shah, Faizullah, Shahid Khan and others said that the consumers were facing immense hardship due to unscheduled and prolonged power outages. They said that the government had announced and directed the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) not to carry out loadshedding in Sehr and Iftar. “But the power outages continue even during the Sehr and Iftar,” Muhabat Shah said. They lamented that the hours-long blackouts and low voltage created water shortage in the area.
