PESHAWAR: The Anti-Corruption Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday got two days physical remand of former secretary of the Local Government Department, deputy secretary and others.
All the arrested persons, including former secretary of the Local Government department Aurangzeb Khan, deputy secretary Shakirullah, directress Tahira Yasmin, former ADC Charsadda and Wapda magistrate Samiur Rehman and contractor Manzoor Qureshi, were produced before Mah-i-Talat, judge of the Anti-Corruption Court.
Anti-Corruption Department Assistant Director Special Investigation Aslam Nawaz informed the court that all the accused were arrested by the department for irregularities amounting to Rs46 million meant for purchase of computers for the offices of nazims. He requested the court for remand of the accused for further investigations into the case.
