LAHORE: A large number of people belonging to Okara protested against police for implicating innocent people in a fake murder case in front of the Lahore Press Club on Monday.They were carrying placards and banners with the inscription of appeal to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for justice.
They said the accused persons Jamil and others attempted to occupy their house. Many of their family members received bullet injuries in the incident. Two persons Amina and Faisal died due to the invaders’ firing. A murder case was registered against the affected family members instead of the attackers, they maintained.
They said the accused persons were influential and a local MPA was supporting them, they alleged. That is why they are roaming free and police are not arresting them. They appealed to the chief minister and IG Punjab Police for justice. SDPO Sadar Circle Okara, Mian Farooq Kamyana said three accused persons were sent on judicial remand.
