ISLAMABAD: Security of Harmain Sharifain and Muslim world is possible only through unity as some conspiring elements are trying to transform Yemen issue into Shia-Sunni controversy.
Religious scholars and religious-political leaders expressed these views while addressing ‘Ulema Convention’ held here on Friday at Jamia Masjid Maaz bin Jabal in I-8/3 with Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) chairperson Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi in the chair.
The ulema said that threats relating to attack Harmain Sharifain are not against any particular religious sect but against the entire Muslim world. All bids relating to fan Shia-Sunni controversy will be foiled not only from Pakistan but also from the entire Muslim world.Tahir Ashrafi pointed out that the entire nation is united to ensure sanctity and security of Harmain Sharifain and for defence of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
They said that the people of Pakistan couldn’t isolate its brother country Saudi Arabia at this time of crisis in the Arab world. “The non-serious attitude adopted by some Parliamentarians in joint session of the Parliament for Arab world is regrettable as it was a conspiracy to create misconceptions between Pak-Arab relations but today thousands of Muslims expressed their loyalty from the forum of Pakistan Ulema Council’s Wafaqul Masjid for security of Harmain Sharifain and rebuffed all the ambiguities relating joint resolution of the Parliament,” the speakers of the convention said.
Addressing on the occasion, they stated that rebel Houthi tribes on influence of some foreign forces attempted to make hostage people of Yemen but on the plea of Yemen’s constitutional government, Saudi Arabia took stance to liberate Yemen from these rebel elements.
They were of the view that if Saudi Arabia had not taken action against these rebel tribes, they might have sabotaged the peace of the entire Arab World. The speakers also underlined that if any country tried to impose its agenda on any other country; it will only create chaos and disorder in the under-attacked country.
