MULTAN/ MUZAFFARGARH: MNA Jamshed Dasti has said that days of the corrupt politicians are numbered and he would not compromise on his Ehtesab Bill, which he is going to present in the National Assembly at the end of his cycle march in Islamabad.
Addressing a reception at Chowk Ghantha Ghar, Multan, on Wednesday, he said that his bill contained deciding corruption cases in two months at the district-level Ehtesab courts and 68 years of age for elected representatives.
He demanded removal VIP culture in the country and parity in salaries of the President, the PM and a labourer to end the class discrimination. He said that he was leading a cycle march against injustice and corruption. He asked the people to join his Awami Raj Party, which was the only forum for them. Dasti said that Sharif brothers and Imran Khan had disappointed the nation. He said that the PML-N had promised to end the loadshedding from the country during his election campaign but it had so far failed to fulfil its promise. He said that Sharif brothers were misleading the people by giving fictitious figures of development. He said over 50pc population had been living below the poverty line. He said that the unemployment was increasing day by day in the country. He alleged that PTI chief Imran Khan had earned millions of rupees in the Senate elections. He said that Imran had turned against MPA Javed Nasim for exposing corruption of Imran and KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, amounting to millions of rupees. Earlier, a large number of people welcomed MNA Jamshed Dasti when he reached Multan from Muzaffargarh. He would leave for Lahore via Khanewal, Pakpattan, Sahiwal and Okara today.
Before launching his cycle march from Muzaffargarh, MNA Jamshed Dasti termed PTI chief Imran Khan, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and KP CM Pervez Khattak anti-people. He said that the three leaders were exploiting and plundering the masses. In his Ehtesab Bill, he demanded death for the corrupt people.
