LALAMUSA: DCO Liaquat Ali Chattha Thursday said cases will be registered against those parents who will not send their daughters to schools.
Addressing a seminar held in connection with the World Women Day, the DCO said Islam has given women a respectable place in society.
The DCO said the Punjab government has taken solid steps for the rights of women and the district government will do its best to impart education to girls.
He urged society and NGOs to do more for the betterment of women, especially in rural areas.

He suggested a women separate court complex having only women judges and lawyers.
DPO Gujrat Rae Ejaz criticized those who kill women on the honour killing pretexts.
He said a female constable has been appointed in each police station of the district Gujrat.
CITY RECEIVES RAIN: City received rain with intervals. The rain turned the city roads and streets muddy and slippery.
Students were seen wading through water. Grounds of the Government Islamia High School and the Government ID Janjua College for women were inundated due to rain water.
