Foreign delegation lauds Multan’s cultural diversity

MULTAN: A foreign delegation Monday lauded Multan’s cultural diversity, its traditions and hospitality of the people of Pakistan.
A four-person team of Rotary Friendship Exchange from the USA and Canada is in Multan for three days. The team will also visit other parts of the country. The delegation expressed satisfaction on the security situation in the country. The team hoped the Pakistan would soon eradicate polio from the country.
Talking to reporters, the team members appreciated different aspects of the city, especially its embroidery work and Multani Khussa, and variety of food and Sohan Halwa.
The team members said they were in Pakistan on a friendship exchange programme of the Rotary International to foster friendship, and be a part of Rotary International’s ‘End Polio drive’. Multan Rotary Club president Mian Salman Mubarik said serving the humanity, the Rotary International, offers this unique opportunity of RFE programme to its members all over the world. All members showed confidence that the visiting team would convey their message of love to their respective countries and other members of the club. The team also visited Bahauddin Zakariya University and met VC Dr Khawaja Alqama, and a 52-bed charity hospital and Pakistan Sweet Home.
