LARKANA: The protest of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Population Department, Larkana, against ‘corrupt accountant of the department’ continued outside the Press Club, Larkana, on Sunday.

Starting from the Qaim Shah Bukhari Road, the protest march culminated at the Jinnah Bagh Chowk. It was led by Aijaz Meerani, Rasool Bakhsh Abbasi, Shareef Umrani and others. The participants carried banners, placards and wore black armbands and chanted slogans against the accountant and secretary population, Sindh.

Talking to the journalists, they said the hike in prices crushed the working class and government servants were facing a serious financial crisis. It is impossible for them to make both the ends meet.

They demanded of the government to increase the salaries in proportion with the price hike. They also demanded removal of Accountant Mueed Surhiyo. Meanwhile, the APCA Population Unit, Larkana, staged a demo in favour of the accountant Mueed Surhiyo. They said some elements were trying to defame the department.
