Canteen of MPAs Hostel sealed

PESHAWAR: KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority on Thursday sealed the canteen of MPAs Hostel after a detailed inspection of the kitchen.

The canteen was sealed during a campaign on the directive of Director General of the authority, Riaz Khan Mahsud. Director Operations Khalid Khan Khattak said that the canteen was checked for food hygiene. He revealed that both personal hygiene and food safety situation were not satisfactory.He directed the deputed teams to arrange follow-up visits to ensure the implementation of food safety standards.

Writers body to hold peace moot

The progressive writers association has announced to hold an international peace conference in the province soon. The announcement was made at a meeting of the association held here with its provincial president Sanaullah Shamim Gandapur in the chair. An organising committee would soon be formed to finalise details for the conference. The meeting was also attended by the provincial secretary general of the association Amjad Ali Khadim, and some senior members including Samina Qadeem, Salim Raz and others, said a press release.
