Lawyers torture AD Agri on court premises

HAFIZABAD: Lawyers tortured Assistant Director Agriculture Talfoorul Hassan for registering a case against their colleague on the charge of selling fake pesticides.

 

A few days ago, AD Agricultural Talfoorul Hassan registered a case against Mubashar Aziz advocate for selling fake medicines at his shop at Sadr police station. Later, Mubashar Aziz was granted bail before arrest by a local court. On Wednesday, Talfoorul Hassan came to the court of additional district and sessions judge for presenting the record where some lawyers led by Mubashar Aziz started beating him. After the incident, the APCA local chapter observed a strike and staged a sit-in outside the Agriculture Department offices. They demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

 

DEMO AGAINST POWER OUTAGE: Hundreds of people staged a demonstration and blocked Gujranwala Road in protest against suspension of electricity for 30 hours due to a faulty transformer.

 

They chanted slogans against the Wapda XEN and held him responsible for the long power outage. They said that the transformer of Qazipura became out of order, but the Wapda staffers did not bother to replace it. They said that they were facing numerous problems due to the suspension of electricity.
