Man murdered, two injured for property

HAFIZABAD: A man was murdered while two others, including a woman, were injured over a property dispute at Channi Maimora village on Friday.

 

There was a property dispute between the groups of Bakhtawar and Jehangir, who had already been murdered. On the day of the incident, six men belonging to Bakhtawar group allegedly opened fire on Jehangir group men. As a result, Mubashir Ahmad was killed on the spot while Maqbool Bibi and her son Waqar Ahmad sustained serious injuries. They were shifted to a hospital. Police have started investigations after shifting the body to a morgue for autopsy. The enmity between the two groups had claimed the lives of more than 12 people during the last 10 years.

 

PO ARRESTED: Kaseesay police arrested a proclaimed offender on Friday. Police, on a tip-off, raided and arrested Munawar of Dhana village. He was wanted by police in several murder, dacoity and extortion cases. He was also wanted in a case of threatening Sunni Tehrik Sukheke leader Zulfiqar.
