‘Aman Ramazan’ on Sunday

KARACHI: ‘Aman Ramazan’, the special Geo News transmission continued the series of unbelievable but happy episodes even on the fourth day. The most joyous moment for an issueless couple was witnessed when Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain offered a suckling baby girl to them for adoption.


This baby girl was found deserted in a pile of garbage where some wicked couple had thrown her to conceal their sin. Volunteers of Chhipa Welfare Association found the baby girl and took it to ‘Paalna’ (a hanging bedding for babies) set up by Aman Ramazan. The baby girl was handed over to Riaz-ud-din and his missus in the presence of head of the association Ramazan Chhipa.


The co uple that was out with joy profusely thanked Ramazan Chhipa.and Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain. They said that words are inadequate to describe the immense joy they have been bestowed upon. The new parents named the baby Fatima, in deference to the wishes of foster father’s mother. The whole episode was greeted with thunderous applause by the audience.


Speaking on the occasion Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain advised parents who are unable to bring up the baby, or those who want to get rid of the baby for whatever reason, to deposit them in the ‘Palnas’ set up by welfare organizations.


On the fourth day a number of mentally retarded (special children) from ‘Daar-us-Sukoon’ were also invited who spent a jolly good time with light discussion by the host. Gifts were distributed among them. A donation of Rs50,000 was made to Sister Ruth of Daar-us-Sukoon with words of high praise for her devotion to the children.


Even on the 4th day of transmission, a large number of audience won prizes worth lakhs of rupees through a draw. They included ten motorcycles, Umra tickets, home-theatre, laptop, LEDs, washing machines and other gifts. Celebrated scholars Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Mufti Usman Yar Khan and Prof Yunus Siddiqui also attended the programme.
