Five of a family murdered for property

TOBA TEK SINGH: Five members of a family were killed over a property dispute at Chak 264/GB near Rajana on Saturday night.

 

Muhammad Asad along with his wife Shamshad Bibi allegedly served drug-mixed meal to his brother’s wife Tahira Bibi, her eight-year-old son Hassan, six-year-old son Mohsin and four-year-old daughter Sanobar. After having meal, they fell unconscious and Asad allegedly killed them with a sharp-edged weapon. Later, the accused went to the fields and firstly shot at and injured his brother Javed and then slaughtered him. Rajana police have arrested Shamshad Bibi and recovered the weapon used in the crime. No case has been registered so far. On Sunday, the police handed over the bodies to the family for burial after autopsy.
