LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department has said four children lost their lives to measles in different districts of Punjab on Friday. Two children died of measles in Hafizabad, one in Children’s Hospital, Lahore, and one in Toba Tek Singh at Government Eye Hospital, Gojra. Giving updates on measles during the last 24 hours, Dr Jafar Ilyas, Additional Director General Vector Board Diseases, Punjab, said the number of deaths had risen in Punjab to 144 and in Lahore 80. He said 195 new patients had been reported in Punjab and 19 new patients in Lahore during the last 24 hours.
