NAWABSHAH: The Sukkur Express remained stranded at the Nawabshah Station for five hours early Friday morning due to an engine problem. The passengers of the train, including women and children, staged a protest on the tracks and closed them for rail traffic for two hours. As soon as the train pulled into the station its engine failed. At that time not a single railway official was present at the station who could have looked after the stranded passengers. Later, an engine from Rohri arrived at Nawabshah station and took the train to its destination where it arrived five hours behind schedule.
