Newly-wed couple deprived of valuables

TOBA TEK SINGH: Dacoits looted a newly-wed couple at Mohalla Mohib Ali Shah in Kamalia on Friday night.


Bridegroom Shahid Yaqoob and his wife were returning home in a car when three motorcyclists intercepted them and snatched cash, gold ornaments, mobile phone sets and other valuables from them.


STATE LAND RETRIEVED: Pirmahal Assistant Commissioner Tanweer Kashif Murtaza has said he after assuming charge retrieved state land worth millions of rupees from the land grabbers in Pirmahal. Talking to journalists, he said he would continue the operation against land grabbers.


GIRL KIDNAPPED: A young girl was kidnapped from Sardar Colony of Gojra. Shaukat Ali informed Gojra police that Ahmad and his two unidentified accomplices entered his house and abducted his daughter Samina. Police were investigating.


CHEHLUM TODAY: Chehlum of railway clerk Syed Iqbal Hussain, father of Syed Tahir Shamsi of England, will be held on Sunday (today) at 11 am in central Imambargah on Jhang Road.

He will address a public meeting in sports stadium on Jhang road and will inaugurate mega water supply project and other development schemes.
