LAHORE: Shortage of fuel forced Pakistan Railways to suspend operation of eight trains till further notice.Pakistan Railways owes around Rs 520 million to Pakistan State Oil. After repeated requests to reduce this debt, PSO had no choice but to stall the supply of fuel (High Speed Diesel) to Pakistan Railways till further payment. This situation depleted the reserves of PR and it had to adopt a strategy to prioritise its operations, suspending service of branch-line trains, two passenger trains on the Wazirabad-Sialkot section, two on the Lahore-Jaranwala-Shorkot section, Bau Train, Lasani, Ghauri Express and Badar.
