Dr Aamir to present Haj sermon with Urdu translation; significance of pilgrimage to be highlighted

KARACHI: As more than two million Muslims from across the world are performing Haj during chants of “I am responding to your call, Allah” and going to achieve the honour of performing the main ritual, Waqoof-e-Arafat, today, the Geo TV is airing six-hour special transmission in connection with this spiritual gathering.

 

In the transmission starting from 12:pm, the leading religious scholars and renowned analysts would shed light on the significance and importance of Haj besides expressing their sentiments about the soul stirring scenes with devotion and expressing their views on the key points of the visionary sermon of Mufti-e-Azam Sheikh Abdul Aziz.

 

The particular feature of this marathon transmission titled ‘Hazir Hain Tere Darbar Mein Hum’ is that world famous broadcaster and renowned research scholar, Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, is achieving the distinction of presenting to the viewers the Haj sermon live from Masjid-e-Nimra with Urdu translation this year as well. Viewers had also paid him great tribute for fluently translating the Haj sermon in the national language last year so this year too he would perform this duty keeping in view the sentiments of the viewers.

 

During the special transmission, the informative slides on Haj rituals and history, holy places and supplications would also be shown with intervals. Besides prominent religious scholars Allama Kokab Noorani and Mufti Abdul Hameed Rabbani, leading analysts Orya Maqbool Jan, Irfan Siddiqi, Ansar Abbasi and Farzana Bari would express their views about this global gathering based on equality.

 

Representing the sentiments of pilgrims about the delightful visit to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and Mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Madinah, Alhaj Imran Sheikh Attari, Ahmed Raza Qadri, Rehan Qadri and Tahir Qadri would recite ‘Hamd-o-Sana’ and ‘Naats’.

 

This marathon transmission would end at 6 p.m. with special supplication by Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain jointly with the viewers for the security of the country and glory of the Muslim Ummah.
