Water shortage may hit rice quality

From Our Correspondent

NANKANA SAHIB: Low rice quality is feared this time in the district for lack of water, The News learnt here. The district is famous like Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Sheikhupura for fine rice quality produce, but this time it is feared that paddy crop may not be up to the mark for water shortage. Less monsoon rains, power shutdowns, water thefts and unavailability of irrigation water at tail end areas may hit the quality of paddy.
