Wasa regularises 26 employees

GUJRANWALA: On the order of a labour court, Gujranwala Wasa has issued orders for regularisation of services of its 26 daily waged employees.

 

This was told at a meeting between CBA Union Leader Nasir-ud-din Humayun and MD Wasa Khalid Bashir Butt here on Tuesday. MD Wasa advised the employees to work with due diligence and honestly.

 

ALTAF’S REMARKS FLAYED: Coordinator of PML-N women wing MNA Ms Shaheen Ashfaq has flayed the statement of MQM chief Altaf Hussain to welcome military general as rulers. She said the country was greatly harmed due to repeated military regimes in the past. Military rule harmed the country and spoilt democratic and economic sectors of the country. She termed Altaf Hussain stance act of treason and negation of constitution of the country. He slated MQM chief for staying abroad and observed he could not be sincere to the country. She accused MQM chief of resorting to blackmail.

 

DIG TAKES CHARGE: DIG Tariq Masood Yaseen has assumed the charge of Gujranwala regional police officer here Tuesday. He has been posted here against the post vacated by DIG Zulfiqar Cheema. He pledged to bring peace in the region with the help of people and weed out lawbreakers. He visited various section of regional office. He asserted policemen to be civil and polite in dealing with people. He also asserted to be honest, fair and protector of law.

 

HOUSING SCHEME FOR GEPCO EMPLOYEES: Secretary Gepco Employees Housing Foundation (GEHF) Muhammad Jamil has said Gepco employees can deposit their dues by bank draft or pay order in account 01517447521001444, Muslim Commercial Bank by online. He said receipts were being issued to applicants in acknowledgment of applicant. Gepco employees have shown great interest in housing scheme, he added.

 

COMMITS SUICIDE: A married young woman, Ms Rehana, wife of Maqbool, committed suicide at village Kotla Chatha. She was the mother of two children. She ended her life over a domestic issue.
