Mujtaba opens Dream Home Expo-2015

Says economy returning to the path of growth and prosperity; govt will give two-marla plots to lower income group under Jinnah Abadi Scheme

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that the Punjab government will give two-marla plots to the lower income group under the Jinnah Abadi Scheme across the province in phases and will expand the Ashyana Housing Scheme projects to all the districts from the current six districts.
The minister was talking to a group of media at the opening ceremony of Dream Home Expo-2015 organised by the Jang Media Group here on Tuesday at the Falettis Hotel.The two-day Dream Home Expo-2015 was formally started with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the provincial minister. People from all walks of life thronged the event the whole day.
Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s economy was returning to the path of growth and prosperity. “The Dream Home Expo is a sign of economic recovery that people are looking for options to make their dream homes,” he said.
He lauded the efforts of the Jang Media Group for its initiative of starting home and construction related Expo. He said that the Jang Media Group, being a leader of the industry, always comes forward with new ideas which lead the industry.
These efforts play a vital role in the economic development of Pakistan, he asserted. He said the Dream Home Expo was a golden opportunity to all those who were planning to make make their houses as all vendors, raw material providers, real estate experts, home décor and others are under one roof. In other words, one window opportunity has been created by the Jang Media Group to facilitate them, he added.
He said the PML-N government was well aware of the commoners’ issues so it would control inflation, curtail the petroleum products prices and cut down the utilities tariff. He said that once the inflation was controlled the rates of all other raw material either would come down. This will lead to economic activity and will benefit commoners.
Talking about growing rates of land for housing purpose, the minister said that the price of land in Lahore was still cheaper than any other city at same level of development. He said that with the urbanisation the price of land always increased in the urban centres.
Earlier, the minister had taken the round of the Expo hall and discussed the matters related to construction activities with the stall holders. The visitors also appreciated the Jang Media Group efforts for creation of awareness and consultancy for the general public regarding the purchase of land or house of their dream through Dream Home Expo. The stalls of various services providers related to real estate, home décor, construction, and others will be established by the known companies.
The representatives of the companies who established their stalls provided consultancy and guideline to the visitors about their future land purchase and investments. The stall holders of big builders, real estate, home appliances, paint, and furniture brands told the visitors to how they could amicably utilise their budget.
The visitors enjoyed special food and entertainment activities established there for them.The participants of the expo were Izhar Monnoo Developers, Athar Marketing Network, Eden Housing Ltd, Paradise Holdings, Bahria Town, Start Marketing, Fast Marketing, Green Land Housing, Orient Group of Companies, Super Asia, SA Garden, Royal Residencia, NM estate, Athar Associates, Ali Saqlain Real Estate & Builders, Haroon Estate, LDA City, Brighto Paints, Hapilac Paints, Master City Gujranwala, Honesty Estate, Boss Furniture, Hayat Lahore, Sheranwala Heights, Sonica-Chawla Group, Venus, GM Cable, City Estate, Alfa Estate, Value Group, Royal Estate and others.
The Expo is open for all which will continue for today (Wednesday) and is providing a one stop investment and purchase options to the visitors regarding their dream home.Puppet, magic and cultural shows and a food court were also held.
