ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday promulgated Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government (Amendment) Ordinance, 2015.
The president signed the ordinance on a summary initiated by the Ministry of Interior approving the Prime Minister’s advice, said a President House press release.
The president also gave approval to the proposed amendments in the Representation of the People (Conduct of Election) Rules, 1977 for adding new election symbols to be allocated to the political parties. He also approved the Prime Minister’s advice for extension of Societies Registration Act 1860 as amended till date to Federally Administered Tribal Areas as well as a draft notification to this effect.
On a summary initiated by States and Frontier Regions Division, President Mamnoon approved the Prime Minister’s advice for extension of the Balochistan Wildlife (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) Act, 2014 to Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA) of Balochistan. He also accorded approval to a draft notification to this effect.
