KARACHI: It is for the readers’ information that worldover surveys are conducted in accordance with prevalent global rules. Such surveys do not decide election results but only present public opinion.
A survey is based on the opinion of a few people of a particular area and somewhat it has always a margin of error.
Jang and Geo present such surveys on national issues but the decision to vote should not be made on the basis of these.
The bodies conducting surveys under prevalent rules examine public opinion on scientific grounds. One team of these bodies conducts the survey first and then another team is sent to the area for verification.
This is also pertinent to mention that after the survey period, political situation of the area undergoes constant change.
