ISLAMABAD: A three-member team of the Scotland Yard investigators arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Imran Farooq’s murder in London in 2010.
The UK investigators had already interviewed Moazzam Ali Khan and now they are expected to question another accused Mohsin Ali.
A private TV channel quoting sources said that the London police team arrived in Islamabad on a flight via Dubai on Tuesday morning and was expected to hold meetings with interior ministry and FIA officials. Earlier in June, a three-member team visited Islamabad to take part in joint interrogation of one of the alleged accused, Moazzam Ali Khan.
Dr. Imran Farooq, 50, a founding member of the MQM, was stabbed and beaten to death in Edgware, northwest London, as he returned home from work on September 16, 2010.
