LONDON: Reham Khan’s former husband Dr Ijaz Rehman has said that he always supported his former wife and sent his kids to private schools.
In a statement, Dr Rehman said his three children - who are in their teens and live with their mother - are “ignorant of the facts and poisoned”.
Dr Ijaz spoke out after his son Sahir alleged that Dr Ijaz had not paid for their expenses after the couple split but Dr Ijaz issued papers showing that he had sent his children to private schools and regularly paid for their maintenance through Child Support Agency, a government body.
“I feel sorry for my children as they don’t know the facts and they have been poisoned against me. I wish I had kept my children at home rather than sending them to private schools from the outset,” said Dr Ijaz Rehman in his statement.
He said he provided luxury life to his former wife “along with the luxury travel in five continents”.
Dr Rehman claimed his former wife had taken his home furniture to Bani Gala after getting married to the former cricket star a few months ago.
Dr Rehman recently gave interview to an English paper and alleged that he had been used as a “toilet paper” and thrown away.
Soon after her second marriage, Reham was embroiled in a bitter war of words with her former husband over claims of domestic violence. She claimed that she had been a victim of domestic violence during her marriage to the 54-year-old psychiatrist with whom she has three children. Dr Rehman and Reham Khan were together for 15 years before their divorce in 2006.
