Burney seeks release of Pak boy from Indian jail

KARACHI: The Ansar Burney Trust International has urged upon Indian government to release without any further delay a Pakistani boy arrested and detained in an Indian prison since last 18 months on a crime innocent boy never committed, says a press release on Wednesday
Ansar Burney Trust Chairman Ansar Burney has wrote and sent letters to the authorities in Delhi in that urged upon them for the immediate release of a nine-year-old Ghulam Hussain son of Jumman Thero at present detained in Jamnagar Central Jail.
Ansar Burney said Ghulam and his father Jumman along with other fishermen were arrested by Indian coastguards while they were fishing in the Pakistani seawater.
Burney also requested the Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior to take up the matter with Indian authorities on urgent basis.
