ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said on Sunday that terrorists would chased to their last hideout and eliminated once and for all while Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) directed the intelligence agencies to launch a hunt for the mastermind of the Attock attack.
In a statement, the prime minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada. The prime minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and said he shared the grief of the family. The prime minister prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and patience and fortitude for the aggrieved family.
Prime Minister Nawaz said that the sacrifices of the brave nation and valiant heroes like Shuja Khanzada will decimate the designs of coward terrorists and they would be chased to their last hideout and eliminated with national resolve and unity. The prime minister reaffirmed the commitment and determination of the government for pursuing the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism with full force and directed for pre-emptive security strategy to counter the terrorist planning.
The prime minister urged the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) not to lower their guards till the elimination of last terrorist. He stressed changing tactics and going for preventive operational methodology. Nawaz Sharif said the courage and valour of Shuja Khanzada was a message to the masterminds of terrorists that they were bound to be defeated. The prime minister also offered condolences on the killing of the guests of Shuja Khanzada who lost their lives. He sympathised with bereaved families and prayed for the souls of the dead.
Online adds: Meanwhile, Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has condemned the terrorist attack on Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada and directed intelligence agencies to launch a hunt for reaching the mastermind of this heinous act.
According to ISPR, the COAS said that such dastardly attempts could not dent the national resolve to eliminate the menace.
He said martyred Shuja Khanzada was a bold person, whose sacrifice for greater cause of cleansing Pakistan from terrorism, would not go waste.
